Ann Marie Poppen-Schossow, of Manson, was taken to the hospital after hitting a piece of concrete from the crossing on June 28. According to witnesses, her Toyota caught the piece of concrete, which was part of the crossing, and flipped forward.

Jeff Herzberg, of Manson, was hired to serve as superintendent for 30 days or until Justin Daggett receives his license from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, according to Daggett.
