    School officials would like to advise the public that the demonstration will produce a considerable presence of public safety professionals and emergency response vehicles near F-M High School beginning around 12:30 p.m. The replica accident is part of "Every 15 Minutes," a national DWI prevention program that demonstrates the impacts drinking and driving can have on friends, families and the community. It will feature participation from F-M junior and senior students, members of the Fayetteville and Manlius police and fire departments and a medical helicopter.

Welker, 20, of Manlius, was charged with promoting prison contraband in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after he was caught trying to bring heroin into the justice center. Welker was brought to the justice center the morning of March 12 after the Town of Manlius Police Department charged him in connection with the stabbing incident that took place Friday evening near the Nice N' Easy store on Cazenovia Road.

    Though it took nearly the entire regular season, the Fayetteville-Manlius boys basketball team did find its way into the Section III Class AA playoffs. All the Hornets needed was to win against visiting Baldwinsville Friday night, and with its lineup finally at something close to full strength, F-M accomplished its mission, pulling away to beat the Bees 68-50.
