Stines, 36, was charged by Malone Village Police with first-degree attempted assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, aggravated criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree criminal mischief.

Kanzler, 84, who co-owned Innisfree Kennels with his wife, Kathleen, was pronounced dead at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, where he had been taken after his sport utility vehicle struck two other vehicles, state police said.
