Parent company Ascena Retail Group Inc. Friday announced Brian Lynch as the next CEO of the New Albany-based apparel and accessory retailer for tween girls . Lynch was at women's fashion retailer Ann Inc. from 2004 to 2014 and spent his last two years with the company as president of the Ann Taylor brand. Comment?

Will a successful reorganization save the company or will a liquidation force it to disappear completely? Most of the largest bankruptcies in the Triangle this past year were of the Chapter 11 variety, pursuant to which a debtor usually proposes a plan of reorganization to keep its business alive and pay creditors over time.
