    Boone County Deputy Jay Fankhauser was able to prevent a possible deadly traffic crash Sunday night, according to a press release fromt he Boone County Sherif's Office. Fankhauser initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 124 miles per hour in the northbound lane on U.S. 119 in the Mud River area, said Boone County Chief Deputy Chad Barker.
