Some arrived hours early to find the perfect spot from which to watch, while others rushed to find any space among the crowd and families and friends gathered at parties in backyards to view the display as the fireworks barge moved into place on the river in preparation for the nearly 30-minute show.

    After high water and then debris in the Ohio River delayed Madison Regatta racing for a second day on Saturday, H1 Unlimited and Regatta officials have once again updated their race schedule for Sunday. High water once again prevented the big Unlimited hydroplanes from even entering the Madison pit area on Friday and Saturday but as the river's water level dropped, racers in the Grand Prix West Series were able to be fitted into the narrow strip of dry boat ramp Saturday only to run one heat and then go into another delay due to debris along the Kentucky side of the Ohio River.
