Dr. Daniel Spitz, chief medical examiner for both Macomb and St. Clair counties, testified Jan. 9 that his office was notified of the body parts found along the highway in St. Clair County Jan. 30, 2014, and the autopsy was conducted over a two-day period, complicated by the dismemberment of the body.
