    A Mason County judge has been assigned to review a zoning decision that denied the world's largest bottled water company a piece of infrastructure it needs to withdrawal more groundwater in Osceola County. Susan Sniegowski, 51st Circuit Court judge in Ludington, will consider the zoning appeal filed by Nestle Waters North America after all four judges in Osecola and Mecosta counties recused themselves , citing reasons they couldn't fairly rule on the case.

    A 15-year-old Scottville boy was taken to a nearby hospital following a head-on crash at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. The boy was riding a 2001 Suzuki 125 dirt bike and traveling westbound on River Ridge Road east of North 96th Avenue near Pentwater, when he rounded a small curve and collided with a 52-year-old Holland man driving a 2000 Volkswagen Passat, according to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office report. The teen-age boy was thrown from his bike and taken to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office.
