    According to a Lubbock Police report, an off-duty deputy with the Crosby County Sheriff's Office saw a man approach a vehicle "in a suspicious manner" and take a purse from the vehicle parked at a daycare in the 2500 block of 22nd Place. As the man was walking away, the victim walked out of the daycare and saw the man with her purse.

    Lubbock Police are searching for a man who is accused of punching and stabbing a store clerk for refusing to let him take gin, orange juice and ice without paying at the Kwik O Foods at 1528 East Broadway Street in Lubbock on July 22. According to the police report, the suspect arrived at the convenience store around 7 p.m. and grabbed the items. He told the clerk he didn't have any money and a person next door was going to pay for the items.
