According to the UPD, a caller in the 700 block of South Dora Street reported at 6:48 p.m. Jan. 16 seeing kids putting someone into the trunk of a car in the parking lot of Yokayo Elementary School.

    A fitness model and actor who was killed when he was hit by a train was running on the tracks ahead of the train while filming a promotional video for his website, police said Tuesday. Detectives have reviewed video from a camera atop the Metrolink commuter train that shows 37-year-old George Gregory Plitt Jr. running between the rails Saturday, Burbank police Officer Joshua Kendrick said.

Adult Swim, the late-night, adult-oriented arm of the Cartoon Network, said Saturday it will air "The Jack and Triumph Show" starting Feb. 20. McBrayer plays a grown-up child star of a "Lassie" type show with Triumph, the puppet created by former Conan O'Brien writer Robert Smigel, as his washed-up canine companion.

Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater will write new music to be added to some songs featured in the movie. The story - about a rocker who poses as a substitute teacher at a tony prep school - will be adapted by Julian Fellowes, who wrote the stage musical of "Mary Poppins" and the film "Gosford Park," and be directed by Laurence Connor, who co-directed the latest "Les Miserables" on Broadway and "Miss Saigon" in London.
