    Menlo School grad John Wilson and Sacred Heart Prep product Finn Banks were each named second team All-Americans on Tuesday, two of four men's water polo players from John Hopkins to earn a spot on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-America teams. Wilson earns second team honors after grabbing honorable mention honors last year and second team honors in 2015.

The ride, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Menlo Park Foundation and the Almanac, will start around 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. at Menlo-Atherton High School, 555 Middlefield Road in Atherton. The ride offers three routes for cyclists of all abilities, along with food, and plenty of SAG support for those who need it.

    Amelia "Molly" Alexander, for years the proprietress of the Alpine Inn in Portola Valley, was until a few years ago a familiar face to regular customers as they placed orders for burgers, fries and other gastronomic gratifications common to popular roadhouses. Ms. Alexander died of heart failure on June 20 in a nursing home, her daughter Geri Alexander said.
