    A roundworm recently reported in a coho salmon caught in the Pacific off Long Beach, Wash., has been identified as a parasitic roundworm called "Philonema." Gerald Jones, acting senior fish health specialist for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife in Corvallis, said the roundworms in a salmon caught by a friend of Billy Harrison of Troutdale aren't "exceedingly rare, but the level of infection was higher than we generally see."
