    Local streams deserve to have proper names to mark local history and protect their place in nature, say leaders of an effort to rescue three unnamed waterways from anonymity.    Their proposal calls for the unnamed streams in the Canal Winchester and Pickerington area to be named Pickering Creek, Mingwe Run and Fox Run. A proposal to bestow the names is pending before the U.S. Board on Geographic Names, which is responsible for standardizing geographic names for federal use, including on maps.
