    For about five minutes on Saturday, an isolated storm blasted through a small stretch of Waddington, bringing quarter-sized hail and powerful winds that wreaked havoc and caused irreparable damage for some. Looking out over the St. Lawrence River Tuesday afternoon from the living room of her 11031 Route 37 home, 18-year-old Carlie L. Stoner said her family was throwing her a party Saturday celebrating her graduation the day before from Madrid-Waddington Central School when the storm came through.

Fey Jr. , 49, of 2 Pleasant St., was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in prison following his April 11 admission to violating his April 11, 2015, sentence to five years of probation for his conviction of two counts of first-degree criminal contempt in a plea deal with the district attorney's office.

    The town of Lisbon is seeking approximately $200,000 from the St. Lawrence River Valley Redevelopment Agency to add 15 new sites to the Lisbon Beach and campground and for upgrades to electrical and sewer systems at the facility. Robert McNeil, a member of the Lisbon Town Board and the chairman of the RVRDA, said he expects a decision to be made on the funding application by the middle of May. Mr. McNeil is one of five members of the RVRDA board.

    The second of three people involved in the string of armed robberies late last year accepted a plea deal Friday in St. Lawrence County Court. Anthony J. Jock, 36, formerly of 36 Glebe Road, Lisbon, pleaded guilty, in a deal with the district attorney's office, to the violent felony of attempted second-degree robbery, the amended first count of a Superior Court information charging him with two counts of second-degree robbery, two counts of attempted second-degree robbery and one count of first degree burglary.
