    The Al Winney Medical Building could reopen under the umbrella of the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center as early as July 25. Operated at the Lisbon Medical Group Building, the clinic located on County Route 10 in the hamlet, has been a mainstay in the town for decades. It was announced in June that the clinic would shut down after Nurse Practitioner Ernie Couglar, who was running the clinic, said the businesses was unable to get adequate reimbursements from insurance companies due to its lack of bargaining power.

Morehouse, 24, Canton, with following too closely following a motor vehicle incident involving two motor vehicles and an Amish horse drawn buggy on Potsdam-Morley Road around 4:05 p.m. According to deputies, Mr. Morehouse was traveling southwest on Potsdam-Morley Road when he approached an Amish buggy driven by Mose S. Miller, 37, Lisbon, who was also traveling southwest. As Mr. Morehouse attempted to pass Mr. Miller, he realized there was a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction and decided to strike the Amish buggy to avoid a possible head-on collision with the approaching vehicle, deputies reported.

A vehicle driven by Cole Morehouse, 24, Canton was traveling southwest on Potsdam-Morley Road when he approached an Amish buggy driven by Mose Miller, 37, Lisbon.
