    The Department of Public Safety has identified two people killed in a one-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Interstate 20. According to a spokesperson, the driver of a 1999 Ford-250 was traveling west on I-20 when he lost control of the vehicle, ran off to the roadway to the right, struck a guardrail and overturned. Jakob William Rogers, 18, of Glen Heights, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gayso, Region 7 Elementary Teacher of the Year, earned her bachelor of arts in education from Indiana State University in 1996 and completed her masters of technology in education from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2008.
