    Liberty, Ind. - Louise Myers, 94, formerly of Liberty died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Heritage House in Greensburg. Louise was born in Metamora, Indiana, to Beecher and Winifred Alley Matthews and graduated from Brookville High School. She married Ellis Myers on May 31, 1941 at the Methodist Church in Metamora. Louise was a homemaker and assisted Ellis in farming. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Liberty and the Eastern Star # 346 in Connersville. Louise enjoyed horseback riding, playing cards, and attending church socials. After retirement, Louise and Ellis spent over thirty years in North Fort Myers, Florida, enjoying golfing and socializing. Louise is survived by a son: Edwin Myers and wife Kay of Waldon, IN; three Grandchildren: Gregory Myers and Michelle of Liberty, Beth Ann Wozniak and husband Terry of Springfield, Ohio and Rebecca Fox and Joseph of Pittsboro; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 72 years who died on January 29, 2014; a son; Allison Dean Myers; two brothers: Carl and Edwin Matthews; and a sister: Geneva Senour Butcher. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens near Boston in Wayne County. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Presbyterian church.     LIBERTY, Ind. - Lloyd D. Kuhn, 94, of Liberty, died Monday, September 28, 2015, at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. Lloyd was born in Green County, Pennsylvania, on December 1, 1920, to Joseph Donley and Harley Ullom Kuhn. He was a 1939 graduate of Dixon Israel High School in Eaton, Ohio. Lloyd joined the Army Air Corp on September 29, 1942 and served his country until May 12, 1945. He was an airplane and engine mechanic and qualified as rifle sharpshooter and carbine marksman. Lloyd served in the India-Burma Campaign and received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star, the Distinguished Unit Citation Badge and the Good Conduct Medal. Lloyd married Gwendolyn Maple on June 24, 1944. He was a member of the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church and farmed in the community his whole life. Lloyd and Gwendolyn travelled the world. Lloyd is survived by two sons: Steven Donley Kuhn and wife Deanna of Richmond, and Kevin Lee Kuhn and wife Kelli of Oxford; two daughters: Donna Wagner and husband Patrick of Shelbyville, and Brenda Stephenson and husband Keith of Reisterstown, Maryland; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of sixty-three years who died on November 20, 2007, and two sisters: Bernita Corwin and Naomi Smalley. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty, with a grandson, Mark Stephenson, officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Boston with Military Graveside Services by American Legion Post # 122 and VFW Post # 1472. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17th, until the time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st St. Suite 100 ~ Indianapolis, IN 46240. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, William Clyde Smith, who died on February 21, 1991; parents; two brothers, Ralph Bailey and Joseph Carl Bailey; and sister, Pauline Aikman.
