    Shawn L. Beck, of Lewistown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jack E. Miller on Sunday and is awaiting a preliminary hearing, which is scheduled for today. According to court documents, Lewistown Borough Police Department responded to Valley Street, where the victim said Beck was intoxicated and allegedly beat him with a night stick multiple times on the head and face.

    A Possession of drug paraphernalia - 3:16 p.m. - Oct. 28 - Officers were told that a male was seen outside of the Giant Food Store on Dorcas Street, with what appeared to be an improvised device used to smoke controlled substances. Upon making contact with John Baumgardner Jr., 39, he was found to be in possession of a metallic tube and a scrubbing pad.
