Specifically, they spoke about the block of 17-33 East Market Street and North Brown Street, where the demolition of nine buildings is planned to make way for a more modern structure that will become the new home for CVS Pharmacy in the downtown area.

    Preservation Pennsylvania, a statewide, private, non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of historically and architecturally significant resources, held a press conference Tuesday at the Mifflin County Historic Courthouse in Lewistown to announce the annual list of the commonwealth's most endangered historic resources. The list, referred to as Pennsylvania At Risk, names eight sites in Pennsylvania that are threatened by demolition, physical deterioration, inappropriate alteration or compromised setting.
