    A Leominster man was sentenced on Wednesday to 12-14 years in prison for wounding a man in a shooting on Mechanic Street in Leominster in 2014, according to a spokesman for District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. William Morales-Lopez, 33, of 101 Mechanic St., was convicted on March 2 after a Superior Court jury trial for the October 2014 shooting of Luis Vera, said Tim Connolly, Early's spokesman. Judge Richard Tucker sentenced Morales-Lopez to 12-14 years on a charge of armed assault with intent to kill, and to concurrent sentences on a single count of assault and battery with dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon, according to Connolly.

    Steven Brosseau, a 57-year-old Leominster man missing since Saturday, was found dead at the Johnny Appleseed Visitors Center off Route 2 in Lancaster Tuesday night. His death is not considered suspicious, according to Tim Connolly, spokesman for Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. State Police discovered Brosseau's body inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the visitors center at about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday.
