    A drug investigation led to the arrest of a Lenoir man as well as a Hudson man who drove up while investigators were searching the Lenoir man's house, the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office said in a press release. Working off of tips and other information of suspicious activity, sheriff's office Ice agents searched a residence at 1817 Greasy Creek Road north of Lenoir, the home of Jason Holloway, 27, on Monday and found 2.4 grams of methamphetamine along with digital weighing scales, packaging materials, cash, and various drug paraphernalia, the press release said. 2 comments

    A 9-month-old boy was killed Tuesday evening when he was run over by a car that rolled down a nearby hill, the Lenoir Police Department reported Wednesday. Lenoir police were called to Sunset Street Mobile Home Park shortly before 7:30 p.m., where it appeared that two children, 6 and 8, had playing in a car parked in the driveway of a mobile home, and that car had started rolling down the hill and ran over the 9-month-old, a Lenoir Police Department press release said.
