Shawnee Mission Superintendent Jim Hinson announced at last week's Board of Education meeting that the district was no longer pursuing plans to build the facility at SM South and was moving forward with a new plan to build the facility near Lenexa's community center, which is located near Pflumm and Santa Fe Trail Drive.
