    Two Good Samaritans and an off-duty officer helped Leicester police apprehend a man who allegedly assaulted a woman before stealing her purse Wednesday morning at Walmart. The man, Wilfredo Rivera, 31, of 25 Haynes St., Worcester, allegedly approached a woman in Walmart on Soojian Drive around 10 a.m. He knocked the 30-year-old woman to the ground and took her purse, police said, adding that a 60-year-old man attempted to intervene and was assaulted and injured.
