On Dec. 22, Kevin Porter, 27, of Newark, was arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses following a investigation by the Toms River Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Special Operations Group and the Lavallette Police Department, Toms River Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco said in a Wednesday press release.

Tommy Cox made the ride worthwhile by catching two 15-pound bass in a row on a popper in Lavallette around first light, but that was it as there was no bait in that area.
