Authorities in Pickaway County on Thursday discovered a working meth lab and arrested three individuals while serving a couple of active arrest warrants. The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office says when deputies arrived at a residence located in the 10,000 block of Route 56 East, they were greeted by 21-year-old Alicia Farleigh, of Circleville, who was wanted on an active warrant out of the Circleville Municipal Court. During its Friday session, a Ross County Grand Jury indicted a Chillicothe man on charges stemming from an incident outside of a bar. Rick Hannan, an investigator with the Ross County Prosecutor's Office, said Chillicothe Police were called to the Cozy Inn on Western Avenue just before 2am, January 11th, on a report that Sheldon Tyler, 38, was outside of the business, threatening people with a gun. The former Laurelville police chief, accused in a scheme involving deceptive purchases of used police cruisers, has been placed on five years' probation for his conviction of receiving stolen property and complicity to theft. A Hocking County judge sentenced 43-year-old Frank Diamond, after a conviction for working with another Laurelville ex-chief to buy Pike County cruisers for themselves rather than for the department in Hocking County. The Ross County Grand Jury indicted a Waverly man on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery, Friday. According to Rick Hannan, an investigator with the Prosecutor's Office, the victim told authorities that William E. Kempton, 33, and Kempton's girlfriend took him to fill his prescription on October 17th and then drove onto a road in Scioto Trail State Park where Kempton allegedly choked him with a belt, stole his medication, and threw him in a ditch before fleeing.
