    One teenage girl was killed and another was injured when they were ejected from a whirling ride at an El Paso church carnival. The girls were at a parking lot carnival marking the annual Dia de los Ninos holiday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church when they were hurled from a spinning ride called "Sizzler" just before 7 p.m. Friday.

    The trial for two former Albuquerque police officers charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a homeless man should be moved to another city because of the high volume of media attention the case has received, defense attorneys said Friday in court documents. Attorneys for Keith Sandy and Dominique Perez want the trial, set for August 2016, to be moved from Bernalillo County, which includes Albuquerque, to Las Cruces in Dona Ana County, according to the court filing.
