Read Natural Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, Cranberry Lake Preserve, and Muscoot Farm. "These proposed cuts mean that some of the parks' curators won't be there any more and that there won't be anyone to run school group activities, nature walks for families, and many other environmental programs that cultivate a love of nature and wildlife," says Mary Davis who has founded environmental education programs for the county in the past.

    White Plains- One election you may have missed was that in the White Plains City Hall Monday, where the Council approved the controversial, hard fought bid by the French-American School of New York approval to build a school at the former Ridgeway Country Club in White Plains. FASNY has locations in Larchmont, Scarsdale and Mamaroneck, but residents in White Plains have fought them on the proposal to build a new campus there.
