James Susanka, son of Joseph and Sarah, suffered a fractured, or lacerated, pancreas when he was kicked in the abdomen by one of the calves as he tried to get a ribbon off of the calves tail.

Crofts announced today that on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, Emmanuel Pablo Perez, 33, of Ethete, was sentenced by Magistrate Judge Teresa McKee in Lander on a charge of simple assault in Indian Country. Perez received six months of supervised probation and was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $230.00.
