The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Lamar held its annual Flag Ceremony at BiCentennial Park on Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14. The well attended event featured a history of the flag and the local boy scouts carrying the flags through history for the attendees. The event concluded with a hot dog barbecue.

"It was such a vision to have the Colorado Welcome Center here in Lamar and for us to be able to sustain it for 25 years and the state to see the benefit of it and give us the grant to keep facilitating is incredible," she said.
