    Eric Popejoy, 47, of Lake Winola, was arraigned Friday on felony counts of rape, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, child pornography and failure to register with state police as a sex offender. According to court records, Popejoy is alleged to have assaulted a 7-year-old girl on July 8, 2016, in Overfield Township.

Mariani said Melinda Williams presented sufficient facts to question whether Tunkhannock Township police officer Mark Papi acted reasonably when he shot her husband, Brian, inside a bedroom of the couple's Lake Winola home on Nov. 7, 2012.
