    Photo by Chris Hendrickson District 3 Chief Jamie Silva and District 7 Fire Chief Gary Meek went before the Monroe City Council on Tuesday, April 5. Monroe voters could see the Monroe Fire District 3 and Clearview Fire District 7 merger proposal on their August ballots, pending an affirmative vote by Monroe and Clearview fire commissioners. Districts 3 and 7 began the merger discussion in August 2015, wanting to increase efficiencies in both departments through combined resources, shared staff and a reduction of duplicate positions.

Three months ago, I began serving as the Community Resource Paramedic for a program launched jointly by Snohomish County Fire District 7, Monroe Fire District 3 and Lake Stevens Fire.

Sound Salmon Solutions, a Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group based in Lake Stevens, is teaching the students of Skykomish School District about the environment and importance of salmon to the local area.

    She was arrested by Monroe police in January for allegedly stealing over $13,226 from the Park Place Middle School Parent, Teacher, Student Association , and now it appears as though the PTSA may not have been Jeannine Hall's only reported victim. Hall, 44, was arrested by Snohomish County Sheriff's detectives on Thursday, March 10, on suspicion of theft in the first degree.
