    Bernie Rink, who opened Boskydel Vineyard in Lake Leelanau in the spring of 1965, died on Nov. 29 while surrounded by family and friends. He was 92. Then a librarian at Northwestern Michigan College, Rink planted a one-acre test plot of wine grapes in the wilderness of Leelanau County to determine if commercial wine could be made locally.
