The first operation began at 3:46 p.m. Saturday, when emergency workers received a 911 call from a 45-year-old Lake Forest father who said he was in the mountains with his 15-year-old son, and they were suffering from hypothermia and exhaustion, said California Department of Parks and Recreation officials in a news release.
