    Pleasant Grove and Skyridge teamed up to host the 26-team Wasatch Volleyball Festival this weekend, but in the end only one team could leave with the gold volleyball as the winner of the tourney, and that was Pleasant Grove as it upended Skyridge 26-24, 25-21 in the championship final. Pleasant Grove went 5-0 on the weekend, defeating Kuna, Idaho, Green Canyon, Salem Hills, Park City and finally Skyridge in the championship to reclaim the festival title.

    The driver of this 2018 Ford Escape, Arlene L. Frank, 62, of Kuna, was uninjured when the vehicle she was driving crashed into the Best Western Lodge at River's Edge on Tuesday, Aug. 21, around 5:20 p.m. Frank reported that the car jumped forward and she tried to stop the vehicle by applying the brakes. According to Orofino Police Chief Jeff Wilson, based on the force that it took to drive into the building, investigators suspect she may have applied the gas instead of the brakes.
