The court did vote on issues concerning quality of life: approving the new county holiday schedule, hearing a report on the recycling center, noting a meeting with railroad officials on the recent train derailments near Kosse and Bremond, and approving utility line agreements. At the commissioners court's meeting, no one attempted to lift the burn ban, which has been in effect since Aug. 5. "Leave it where it is," said Commissioner Pct.
