The lawsuit, filed Oct. 4 in Blount County Circuit Court, accuses Dr. Richard G. Cline of failing to properly treat one of his patients, Joyce Ann Myers, resulting in her death from cancer this May. The complaint states Cline failed to fully remove a polyp from Myers' colon in 2013 and then again in 2016.
