    A New Mexico lawmaker is pushing legislation that would toughen penalties for people convicted of child sex crimes and make them easier to prosecute. The Farmington Daily Times reported Saturday that state Rep. Sharon Clahchischilliage has pre-filed a bill that would increase prison time for anyone in a position of authority who coerces a child between the age of 13 and 18 to submit to sexual penetration.
