    Kinston police say around 6 p.m., two cars crashed into each other at the intersection Washington Ave. and Martin Luther King Blvd. One of the cars then crashed into the porch of the home at 601 E. Washington Ave. Police say both drivers claim they had the green light and because there were no witnesses, no charges are being filed at this time.

There is also an arts and crafts market, Art Fest, Carolina Classic Cruisers Cruise-In, and a fireworks show on Friday night.

Southwood Volunteer Fire Department and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Department responded around 4:30 p.m. and cleared the scene close to 6 p.m. The homeowner says the building in the backyard of her home was used as a kid's playhouse and for storage.
