    The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash around 12:30 a.m. after a single crash was reported in the 2000 block of Rock Springs Road. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was traveling south on Rock Springs Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and ran off the road.

    The Kingsport Police Department will be conducting a D.U.I. Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 11:00 PM until 1:00 AM. K.P.D. stresses that Tennessee D.U.I. laws apply not just to alcohol, but to any substance that impairs, including illegal drugs, over-the-counter medications, as well as prescription drugs, even if they are prescribed by a physician.
