    Authorities say a man who demanded cash from a U.S. Bank in Rogersville told a teller the Secret Service owed it to him for "taking down terrorists." A police report obtained by the Kingsport Times-News says 22-year-old Derrick Goins didn't ask for a specific amount of money on Tuesday but demanded "two bags of cash, and the rest in his account."

Bob had attended Hillcrest Bible Institute. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, church bus driver, and served as a deacon for 10 years. Bob loved to play golf. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judy A. Runyon Evans, to whom he was married on October 15, 1965; daughters, Kelly J. Evans (Janice Passmore) of Richmond, Jennifer Bailey of Milford, Ohio, and Jama Evans of San Diego, California; eight grandchildren, Jimmy, Jalen, Josh, and Jordyn Bailey, Whitleigh Motley, Naija and Mariah Evans-Passmore, and Zack Huston; brother, Gerald Wayne Roper of Sneedville, Tennessee; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Melissa and Kristyn Evans and his parents. Visitation for Robert A. Evans will be from 5 to7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Dr. Frank Holman and Pastor Martin Holman officiating. Entombment will be in the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: The Whitleigh K.
