The six-woman, six-man jury deliberated 1 1/2 hours before finding Shaun Bland, 31, guilty a few hours after Superior Court Judge Stephen G. Scarlett ruled that the trail would proceed with Bland because he had voluntarily absented himself from the proceedings by jumping from a truck.
