The case at hand, an April 3 arrest in Bahama Village that yielded four oxycodone pills and 1.2 grams of marijuana, prompted police brass to order department-wide restraint on strip searches, which are highly restricted for police by state law and local policy. A pair of cases is now before the Citizen Review Board, which on Wednesday will review two documented searches that involved the same officer digging into a suspect's pants to find drugs.
