    A Kent, Ohio man who had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity in a fiery crash on the Ohio Turnpike that killed a Toledo couple has been declared competent to stand trial but will remain at a psychiatric hospital for further evaluation. Andrew Gans, 25, was found competent by Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge John P. Dewey, said his attorney, Terrence Rudes of Port Clinton.

Brimfield Township Officer Crystal Casterline, who shared her allegations about David Oliver last month in an interview with the Akron Beacon Journal, filed a lawsuit Monday in Summit County accusing him of unwanted touching, sexual and derogatory comments, striking her in the throat and thigh and restraining her.
