Kalispell Public Schools Superintendent Mark Flatau sent parents a message saying the Columbia Falls school district received threats Wednesday specifically targeting schools in their district.

    A northwestern Montana man has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide while under the influence for a July 2016 crash north of Kalispell that killed his passenger. The Daily Inter Lake reports 21-year-old Dillon Johnson of Whitefish entered his plea Thursday in the death of 17-year-old Madison Duke.

Flathead Lake is the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi River When jokingly asked what obstacles she met along the way and if she saw the Flathead Lake monster 'Emily responded with a laugh and a no....' The swim is not for the glory, though, von Jentzen says she is doing all of it to raise money and awareness for children in the Flathead community dealing life threatening illness.
