    The Karnes City Badgers saw their 2017 season come to an end on Friday night as host Gators of Georgetown Gateway College Preparatory shut them out 26-0. The Gators, who pounded out 17 hits and capitalized on three Badger errors, put up 11 runs in their first at-bat, added two in the third, nine in the fourth and four in the fifth before the game was called via the 10-run mercy rule.

The Falls City Beaverettes will travel to Jourdanton on Thursday night to take on La Pryor at 7 p.m. The Kenedy Leopards will battle Center Point on Thursday night at Huber Ranch in Seguin starting at 6 p.m. The Karnes City Lady Badgers, who rallied to defeat Poth 9-6 on Monday night to clinch the district's third place seed, will meet Florence on Friday night at 7 p.m. in Wimberley.
