    On the morning of April 15, 2013, two California poker players were traveling west on Interstate 80 in Iowa, on the way back from a tournament in Joliet, Illinois, when a state trooper pulled them over. By the time the traffic stop was over, police had seized $100,000 in poker winnings from the two men, on the assumption that the cash must be connected to drug trafficking or some other illegal activity.

    Sentencing has been rescheduled to Nov. 4 for Bethany McKee, who was convicted in August of taking part in the January 2013 murders of two Joliet men, Terrance Rankins and Eric Glover, at a Joliet house. McKee was scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in Will County Circuit Court, but Judge Gerald Kinney postponed it at the request of her lawyers, according to prosecutors McKee was arrested with Joshua Miner, Adam Landerman and Alisa Massaro after police found the bodies of Glover and Rankins on the second floor of Massaro's father's home, 1121 N. Hickory St. Prosecutors said the men were lured to the house by the four, who planned to rob them of marijuana and money, and Miner and Landerman then strangled them.
