High St. in Jefferson City claims he is not responsible for maintaining the wall shared by him and his neighbor, citing an agreement made by property owners in 1892. The lawsuit, filed in Cole County Circuit Court Tuesday by 200 owner Neidert Properties LLC, claims that the owners of the properties that later became 200 and 202 E. High St. made an agreement on ownership that applies today.

    Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled over and arrested two people Friday afternoon after they found heroin and drug paraphernalia in the car during a traffic stop. Deputies pulled over Louis Richmond, 37 and Danielle Scott, 31, both of Jefferson City in the Holts Summit area near the US Highway 54 and State Road AA/OO interchange for a traffic violation.

High St. in Jefferson City are searching for other places to operate while the neighboring building continues to deteriorate, according to the owner of a catering company that uses the kitchen in 202 E. High St. Although the owner of 200 E. High St. decided to demolish the building in late July, no plan to do so is in place, Jefferson City building official Larry Burkhardt said Tuesday. Burkhardt said workers discovered that 200 E. High St. was connected to 202 through shared walls, and that the same was true for 202 and 204 E. High.
