    The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office arrested a Copperopolis man at a Jamestown area club Tuesday night following a report of a sexual assault against a woman inside of a travel trailer on the property. Sometime before 11 p.m., Tuolumne County Sheriff's deputies responded to Rosalinda's Gentlemen's Club on the 14400 block of Highway 108 in Jamestown after receiving a report that a man living in a travel trailer on the property had sexually assaulted a woman and threatened to harm her with a knife.

    A Jamestown man was sentenced Monday by a Tuolumne County Superior Court judge to 13 years in state prison after pleading guilty to sexual offenses involving underage girls. Zachary Isaiah Kuhl was arrested on Aug. 18, 2016, on the 11100 block of Harrison Drive, Sonora, when he was 18. Charges included eight counts of possession, creation and distribution of child pornography, 13 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor three or more years younger, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, 11 counts of burglary, six counts of contacting a minor with intent to commit sexual offense, and arranging a meeting place with a minor for lewd purposes.

    The Angels Camp Police Department arrested two people in separate incidents late Thanksgiving night after investigating a report of a man masturbating on South Main Street, and 30 minutes later, discovering a man had a human skull in his vehicle on Murphys Grade Road. About 11 p.m., Angels Camp Police officers were dispatched to the Best Western Hotel on the 400 block of South Main Street, where a manager said someone had complained about a man on the property masturbating.

The move came after a citizen raised concerns about ongoing construction blocking the front entrance to the A.N. Francisco Building at 48 Yaney Ave. in Sonora, where the county's lead planning agency typically posts public notices, which meant that the commission's original approval of the project was null and void.

The board is scheduled to hold a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to consider an appeal filed against the Tuolumne County Planning Commission's approval of the project at a meeting on Oct. 4. "It's way too close to a school with many children," said Wendy Seidel, mother of a fourth-grader and seventh-grader who attend the private Sierra Waldorf School about 3,000 feet from where the tower would be located.
