    The Florida Department Of Health hosts a grand opening of its new South Jacksonville Immunization Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at 3225 University Blvd. S. Free health information, back-to-school supplies, face painting, crafts and refreshments will be offered at the grand opening as residents meet with immunization center staff. The center offers vaccines required for children entering pre-school and grades K-12 for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis , measles, mumps, rubella, polio, varicella and hepatitis B. The center also offers the federally-funded Vaccines for Children immunization program, which provides the medicines at no cost to the parent/guardian to children ages birth to 18 who meet program eligibility.
