    The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors approved a cultural resource services contract so channel improvements can be made to the Desert Knolls Wash within the town and near The Lewis Center for Educational Research. Because the wash, just south of Highway 18 east of the Mojave Narrows, cuts through culturally rich land, the $189,240 survey complies with California Environmental Quality Act requirements that the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians be consulted concerning the improvements.
